Ingredients
- coriander seeds
- Chilli
- Turmeric
- cumin seeds
- black pepper
- kasuri methi
- Salt & Spices all in dry powder form.
Method
- Heat 2 tbsp ghee/oil.
- Add 1 cup smooth tomato puree, Sauté until the oil starts to separate.
- Add 2 medium diced potatoes and 1 cup green peas.
- Sauté for 2 minutes to coat them in the base.
- Stir in 1.5 tbsp Galaji Awadhi Aloo Matar Sabji Masala and salt.
- Add 1.5 cups of water.
- Cover and simmer on low heat (the Dum style) until the potatoes are fork-tender and the gravy is fragrant.
- For Onion/Garlic Lovers: Sauté a paste of 1 boiled onion and 1 tsp garlic paste in ghee until translucent (do not brown) before adding the tomato puree to maintain the elegant, light color of the gravy.
