Ingredients
- BLACK PEPPER
- CUMIN SEEDS
- CORIANDER SEEDS
- DRY MANGO
- GREEN CHILLI
- LEMON POWDER
- SALT & SPICES
- ALL IN DRY POWDER OR FLAKES FORM.
Method
- Mix 2 cups Puffed Rice (Muri), 1/4 cup boiled chickpeas, 1/4 cup chopped boiled potatoes, and 2 tbsp roasted peanuts. Add finely chopped tomato, green chilies, and fresh cucumber.
- Sprinkle 1.5 Tablespoons of Galaji Kolkata Jhal Muri Masala over the mixture. Drizzle 1 tbsp Raw Mustard Oil. This is essential for the authentic Kolkata "ghontijo" (strong aroma).
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a handful of fresh coriander. Shake or stir vigorously (traditionally in a tin can) until every grain of puffed rice is coated in the masala and oil. Top with a handful of Chanachur (spicy Bengali mix) or Sev for extra crunch.
- Add finely chopped onions along with other veggies.
