Ingredients
- Skimmed Milk Powder
- Sugar
- Cashew Nuts
- Cornflour
- Watermelon Seeds
- Coriander
- Turmeric
- Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi)
- Green Chilli Powder
- Salt & Spices all in dry powder form.
Method
- Sauté 2 cups of chopped fresh Methi (fenugreek) leaves in a little ghee with a pinch of salt until they shrink and lose their raw bitterness.
- Set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee and 1 cup of green peas.
- Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add a paste made of 10-12 soaked cashews, 1/2 cup water & 1.5 tbsp Galaji Methi Matar Malai Masala.
- Add the sautéed methi and 1/2 cup fresh cream (or thick malai).
- Simmer on low heat for 3-4 minutes.
- for Onion/Garlic Lovers: Sauté a paste of 1 boiled onion and 1 tsp garlic paste in ghee until translucent (do not brown) before adding the cashew paste to keep the gravy white and rich.
