How to Make Masala Bhath Ka Masala at Home (Step-by-Step)
Ingredients
  • Chilli
  • Dry Mango
  • Turmeric

  • Sesame Seeds
  • Carom Seeds
  • Kasuri Methi
  • Sugar
  • Salt & Spices all in dry powder form
Method
  • Use Tendli (Ivy Gourd) or Cauliflower and Green Peas—the traditional choices for this dish.
  • Wash 1 cup of Basmati or Ambemohar rice.
  • Sauté the vegetables in 2 tbsp ghee.
  • Add 2 tbsp Galaji Masala Bhath Ka Masala.
  • Add the rice and 2 cups of hot water.
  • Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  • Garnish with a mountain of freshly grated coconut and chopped coriander.
  • Serve with a dollop of ghee.
  • For Onion/Garlic Lovers: Sauté 1 large sliced onion until it is dark brown and caramelized before adding the vegetables and masala for an extra savory, rustic depth.
