Ingredients
- Chilli
- Dry Mango
- Turmeric
- Cumin Seeds
- Fennel Seeds
- Sesame Seeds
- Carom Seeds
- Kasuri Methi
- Sugar
- Salt & Spices all in dry powder form
Method
- Use Tendli (Ivy Gourd) or Cauliflower and Green Peas—the traditional choices for this dish.
- Wash 1 cup of Basmati or Ambemohar rice.
- Sauté the vegetables in 2 tbsp ghee.
- Add 2 tbsp Galaji Masala Bhath Ka Masala.
- Add the rice and 2 cups of hot water.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Garnish with a mountain of freshly grated coconut and chopped coriander.
- Serve with a dollop of ghee.
- For Onion/Garlic Lovers: Sauté 1 large sliced onion until it is dark brown and caramelized before adding the vegetables and masala for an extra savory, rustic depth.
