How to Make Sev Tameta at Home (Simple Recipe)
Ingredients
  • Chilli
  • coriander
  • seeds
  • sugar
  • skimmed milk powder
  • green chilli
  • carom seeds
  • kasuri methi
  • Salt & Spices all in dry powder form.
Method
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil/ghee.
  • Add 1/2 tsp cumin and a pinch of mustard seeds.
  • Add 1.5 cups of finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Cook the tomatoes until they turn mushy and the oil starts to separate from the sides.
  • Stir in 1.5 tbsp Galaji Sev Sabji Masala and a little salt.
  • Add 1.5 cups of water and bring to a rolling boil.
  • Just before serving, add 1 cup of thick Gathiya or Tikhi Sev to the boiling gravy.
  • Do not cook the sev!
  • Simply garnish with fresh coriander and serve immediately so the sev remains slightly crunchy.
  • For Onion/Garlic Lovers: Sauté 1 large finely chopped onion and 1 tsp garlic paste in the oil until golden brown before adding the tomatoes
