Ingredients
- Coriander seeds
- Chilli
- Dry Mango
- Cumin seeds
- Cinnamon
- Turmeric
- Sesame seeds
- Black pepper
- Cloves
- Salt & Spices all in dry powder form
- Contain Cottonseed oil
Method
- Pressure cook 1 cup mixed dals (Toor, Masoor, Moong) with pumpkin, eggplant, and potatoes until completely mushy.
- Mash well.
- Heat 2 tbsp Ghee.
- Add 1 tsp ginger paste.
- Stir in 2 tbsp Galaji Dhanshak - Dalma Masala.
- Add the mashed dal-veggie mix.
- Add a small piece of jaggery and a splash of tamarind water for that authentic Parsi "Khatta-Meetha" balance.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until deep brown.
- Odia Dalma : - Boil Toor dal with raw papaya, raw banana, yam, and pumpkin.
- Heat 1 tbsp Ghee.
- Add Pancha Phutana (five-spice) and 2 dried red chilies.
- Stir in 1.5 tbsp Galaji Dhanshak - Dalma Masala.
- Pour the tadka over the dal.
- Garnish with freshly grated coconut and roasted cumin powder.
